Come from Under the Circumstances

What is your problem today? What circumstances have come up that you feel you just cannot deal with? Whatever you do, don't get under them! Use your spiritual weapons and overcome them with the Word of God. Search the Scriptures and see what God has said about that situation, and say what He says. Put it under the Blood of Jesus, and declare the victory.
Have you ever asked someone how they are doing and their reply was, "I'm doing fine under the circumstances"? When someone replies that to me, I say, "What are you doing under the circumstances, you should be on top of them?" Of course, they look at me like I'm crazy. But think about it. With God as our Father, our Provider, our Strong Tower, our Refuge and Strength, why should we be UNDER our circumstances? He is our very present help in time of trouble; He is our joy and peace in the midst of the storms of our life, if we give it all to Him to handle. "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." I Peter 5:7. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, with transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7. We can be on the top of every situation with God by our side. "If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31. God is always greater!
Imagine if you were facing a fiery furnace as the three Jewish young men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. If anyone could be UNDER their circumstance, it certainly would have been them. But they weren't, they were bold with faith! They told King Nebuchadnezzar that they knew God was able to deliver them. (Deuteronomy 3:16-18). As a result of their faith, those young men saw God right in the midst of the fire with them. He keeps His promises, He never fails. "He will call on Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble." Psalm 91:15.

People in your life will wonder how can you be so calm with all that is going on. Then you can tell them you are no longer under your circumstances; you have given them all to Jesus and He has them under His control.
We serve an awesome God and there is nothing too hard for Him. Let Him handle every situation, invite Him in and watch Him take over. "The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom." Deuteronomy 28:13.

I was in a church service one time when there was a "prophet" praying for the people. After a time, he called for an offering and had his mind totally on the offering instead of the people coming for prayer. One man went for prayer while the offering was being taken and the "prophet" told the man to come back to another service and then he would pray for him.

When we focus on money and things – possessions, we put them before God and forget about Him. Jesus said it is hard for a rich man to enter into heaven. Why is this so? Because he feels he has all he needs and doesn't need God, the One who has the whole world in His hands. A rich man depends on his riches and possessions to gain whatever happiness he needs in life: not realizing that the mammon is temporal and will pass away.

In this day and time men need encouragement like never before. They need to know that they are loved and very much need in this world. They also need Godly wisdom and understanding of the ways of the kingdom of God. Jesus is our supreme example in how to live as holy men of God. He prayed often to the Father, putting His earthly life completely in God's hands.
