Do you consider yourself beautiful? God made each of us in His image and He made all of us beautiful! But that beauty can be overshadowed by sin in our lives and things we need to get rid of. Once we do that the world can see the beauty of Jesus that is in us.
Do you consider yourself beautiful? God made each of us in His image and He made all of us beautiful! But that beauty can be overshadowed by sin in our lives and things we need to get rid of. Once we do that the world can see the beauty of Jesus that is in us. There is an old hymn of the Church that says, "Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me, All His wonderful passion and purity; O my Savior divine, All my being refine, Till the beauty of Jesus be seen in me."
We can all use some enhancement of beauty in our lives, so here are some tips for the beautification of all believers:
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. Psalm 19:14.
For beautiful eyes, look for the good in other people. Ephesians 4:32
To loose weight, let go of stress, hatred, anger, discontentment, and the need to control others. Colossians 3:8
To improve your ears, listen to the Word of God. John 15:7.
Rather than to focus on the thorns of life, smell roses, and count your blessings, giving thanks for each one of them. I Thessalonians 5:18.
For poise, walk with knowledge and self-esteem. Colossians 1:10.
To strengthen your arms, hug at least three people a day. Touch someone with your love. I John 4:7-8.
To strengthen your heart, forgive yourself and others. Don't worry and hurry so much. I John 1:9; Matthew 6:14-15.
Rather than walk this earth lightly, walk firmly with determination and leave your mark. Matthew 5:16.
For the ultimate in business, and casual, or evening attire, put on the robe of Christ; it fits like a glove but allows room for growth. Best of all, it never goes out of style and is appropriate for any occasion. Isaiah 61:10.
Doing these things on a daily basis will certainly make you a much more beautiful person.
It's an inside job. Man looks on the outward appearance but God sees the heart. He knows full well what we look like on the inside. Even though He has made us beautiful we have to get rid of those things that cover up the beauty of Jesus that is in us. "Let the beauty of the LORD be upon us; and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it." Psalm 90:17.

I was in a church service one time when there was a "prophet" praying for the people. After a time, he called for an offering and had his mind totally on the offering instead of the people coming for prayer. One man went for prayer while the offering was being taken and the "prophet" told the man to come back to another service and then he would pray for him.

When we focus on money and things – possessions, we put them before God and forget about Him. Jesus said it is hard for a rich man to enter into heaven. Why is this so? Because he feels he has all he needs and doesn't need God, the One who has the whole world in His hands. A rich man depends on his riches and possessions to gain whatever happiness he needs in life: not realizing that the mammon is temporal and will pass away.

In this day and time men need encouragement like never before. They need to know that they are loved and very much need in this world. They also need Godly wisdom and understanding of the ways of the kingdom of God. Jesus is our supreme example in how to live as holy men of God. He prayed often to the Father, putting His earthly life completely in God's hands.
